On the plus side, this book will expose you to almost all the different formats of questions that might be used on a civil service exam and gives you some hands on practice. That's where the positives end though...there was a useless section on supervisory theories (which wouldn't be on a civil service exam, but might be on a classroom test), a couple areas with repeated information, many questions where the grammar and wording was so poorly put together that it took rereading the questions multiple times to make sense of it, and, finally, little to no explanations of answers. Long story short, you can do much better with online test prep programs.
